1. What is the reason for PCB surplus production?
   Rating:
   Printed circuit boards are basically produced with a security surplus to compensate unforeseen waste during the fabrication process. It is furthermore a characteristic of combining boards and fabricating them within a panel which requires a larger batch.

   If more PCBs are fabricated than the client ordered initially, these are then offered as surplus. These surplus products are offered mostly at reduced rates than the unit price of the ordered PCBs. This price is determined by LeitOn and based on several factors like (deadline, total batch, technology, etc.) and cannot be stated when ordering.

   In general we advise not to speculate for surpluses, as it cannot be guaranteed that an over-production will occur.
