  1. What do I have to consider to achieve the highest ductility possible for flexible printed circuits (FPC)?
    Rating:
    The flexibility is influenced by the base material thickness and the number of layers. The more layers, the more inelastic the board will become. In the layout of multi-layer flex boards it is recommended to align circuit paths on top and bottom side offset to each other. Furthermore the copper thickness plays a decisive role. Thus etching procedures exist to carry out the copper slightly thinner on certain bending areas to achieve a higher flexibility.
