Voltage Drop
Estimate trace widths on printed circuit boards regarding required power or voltage drop. Optimize the supply on your printed circuit boards!

Calculation of the trace width based on voltage drop/power

Calculation of trace width based on voltage drop/power

This tool supports calculation of PCB trace widths according to voltage drops or required power output.

Please select whether you have a maximum voltage drop as given value or a required power output. Type in the trace length, copper thickness and electric current. Temperature is an optional value as its impact on the results is limited. As result you will receive necessary trace width for your PCB design and trace resistance. We suggest that you add another 30% to 50% for safety.
